Our goal is to establish Orthogem's Technology Platform as the new generation of Synthetic Bone Graft.
Orthogem was founded in 2001 with private and venture capital investment, to develop and commercialise the technology of founder Dr Wei-Jen Lo, a biomaterials scientist with a background in clinical ceramics. In 2003, the Board of Orthogem Limited was strengthened with the addition of Dr Matthew Frohn, and the healthcare experienced entrepreneurs, Stephen Bullock and Anthony Showell. At the same time, the company raised further capital from new and existing investors.
Based at laboratories in Nottingham's BioCity and a commercial office in Oxford, Orthogem, together with its technology partners, is focused on all stages of technology development from preclinical proof of concept through to the validation of a robust manufacturing process and full certification.
